“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
11 November 2011 saw the largest gathering of Egyptian Christians for over a thousand years. 71,000 people gathered to pray at St Simeon the Tanner Coptic Orthodox Church in one of Cairo’s garbage cities. People were saved; people were healed; one Egyptian Christian leader has since said “The heavens are clean! It is easy to pray!”. He calls it the beginning of revival.
The Tall Skinny Kiwi was there and reports on the event itself and the background to it in his blog. Read the full story at Tall Skinny Kiwi: The Skinny on Egypt’s Prayer Gathering.
