Support Lydia Remick to raise money for Christian voluntary work overseas

As some of you already know I’ve set up a fundraising appeal to help me raise money for my voluntary work overseas.

If you don’t here’s the quick run down.

Life’s taken a few weird twists and turns the last yew years (as a number of you know) and I’m at a point in my life where I have the opportunity to do something I have wanted to do since I was a teenager, and that is to do Christian voluntary work overseas.

In April 2012 I’m off to Sri Lanka with Habitat for Humanity to help with building work for a community who could otherwise not afford a decent standard of housing.
In the summer of 2012 I’m off to Ibiza to do some outreach work with the local workers, but also some street work helping the holiday makers (street pastor style)
Then at the end of 2012 I’m off to Zambia to get involved with a group called Lifespring Foundation Africa with a view to applying for a 5 month voluntary position in 2013 or 2014.

Fundraising is going well, but I’ve found a really easy way to help raise money for LJR Fundraising Appeal whenever I shop online and would like to ask if you could do the same?

It’s very simple – just visit http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/ljrfundraisingappeal/ to register and shop with over 2000 well known retailers like Amazon, Argos, M&S, eBay and many more. Whenever I buy something, the retailer makes a donation to LJR Fundraising Appeal. They’ve helped other causes raise over £2,000,000 so it really does work.

I’d be really grateful if you could use easyfundraising too. It won’t cost you a penny extra to shop through easyfundraising and you can even save money with special offers and voucher codes.

Plus, if you register before 31st August 2011 you’ll automatically receive one entry into a FREE PRIZE DRAW to win £500 to spend with stationery giants Viking. Next month the prize draw is for a Kindle! Nice prize!!!

So please make a difference to LJR Fundraising Appeal and take a look at easyfundraising today – http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/ljrfundraisingappeal/

It really is easy fundraising (how corny is that??) but I bought some books today I was going to get from Amazon anyway, but I’ll be getting about 2% back literally from going via the site.

You register, which really doesn’t take long at all, search for the store using with search or looking in their A-Z, click on the button to go to the site and carry on like you would normally.

If you shop online anyway, it could make a huge difference to me being able to this work which is really on my heart to do!

Thanks

Lydia
