Foodbanks in Cornwall

The Trussell Trust’s foodbank project, pioneered in Salisbury, is now working to feed people in crisis right across the UK. The foodbank provides three days worth of nutritionally balanced food, in exchange for a foodbank voucher, from its drop-in centres. It also provides a free hot drink, a listening ear, and additional support where needed to help break the cycle of poverty.

Working to combat hidden hunger across the UK:

- 12.4 million people in the UK live below the poverty line, including 3 million children.

- Many struggle to put food on the table. Thousands simply go without.

Could you donate to the foodbank?

Donations of food are always welcome:
1. Check out our shopping list to see what we take. The items on our shopping list allow us to make foodboxes that provide nutritionally balanced food for 3 days (approved by the South Wiltshire primary care Trust).

2. Please remember:

  • All food needs to be non-perishable, so nothing fresh please!
  • Owing to safety and storage restrictions, food must be within its recommended sell by or best before date.
  • The tins or packaging should not be damaged.

3. Take your food to your nearest foodbank
We love donations large or small, but unfortunately limited resources mean that we cannot collect donations unless they are in bulk. We ask people to take their food donation to their nearest foodbank, view the foodbank map…

Thank you for helping people in crisis!
