Magazines displaying sexually graphic images and text could be covered with a ‘modesty bag’ so that only the magazine title is shown, if support gathers for the Make Modesty Wraps Law campaign.
Mike Beecham began the campaign when his local Co-operative store displayed ‘lads mags’ with explicit images near the entrance where they could not avoid being seen by everyone who visited the store. The issue is not just with the Co-operative; many shops display sexually provocative magazines where they can easily be seen by children. Modesty wraps would protect the eyes of young children and the minds of adults by covering all but the title of these magazines.
Please sign the petition to make modesty wraps law before 12 March.
