Monastic rhythm for busy lives: A Waymark event
A reflective workshop using insights from the shape and rhythms of monastic life, led by the Revd Bridget Macaulay. Thursday 18th April 2013, 9.30am – 4.00pm at Epiphany House, Truro. Cost £15 to include all drinks and a simple lunch.

Epiphany House is an Ecumenical Christian Retreat House and Conference Centre on the outskirts of Truro. Events for April – June 2013 are listed below; there are also regular weekly and monthly events at Epiphany House including prayer, meditation and circle dancing.

Saturday 13th April: Quiet day – ‘Give us this Daily Bread’
Led by Revd Bridget Macauley. 10am – 4pm.

Saturday 27th April: Epiphany House Open Day
Teas, Art Exhibition, Cakes, Crafts, Guided Tours, Children Activities. Come and enjoy the House and the gardens.
10.30 – 5pm

Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th May: Individually Guided Retreats
Led by an ecumenical team of prayer guides.

Saturday 11th May: Quiet Day: ‘Celtic Spirituality’
Led by Revd David Bagnell. 10am – 4pm.

Friday 7th June – Friday 14th June: Creative Arts Retreat ‘Drawing Breath: Painting and Prayer’
Led by Canon Charmion Mann and Maureen Edwards.

Saturday 22nd June: Epiphany Network Day
Open to those engaged in or interested in Spiritual Accompaniment.

Events at Epiphany House in January and February 2013

Feast of the Epiphany, Friday 6th January 2013.
Eucharist at 6.00 pm, celebrated by the Rt. Rev Tim Thornton, Bishop of Truro. After the Eucharist you can share in a glass of wine and a light supper. Please let us know if you are intending to come.

Starting Monday 7 January (for 12 weeks): The Bishop’s Study course
This term the Old Testament– it’s theology, history & authorship, in light of archaeology and modern scholarship. The sessions are open to everyone. There is no coursework or exams but a reasonable commitment to regular attendance would be appreciated.
Every Monday 7 to 8.30pm. Led by Canon Pat Robson. Cost £3 per week

Saturday 19 January: Waymark Event: ‘Monastic rhythm for busy lives’.
A reflective workshop exploring ‘Way of Life’ as a means to deepen our journey with God and one another. Using insights from the shape and rhythms of monastic life there will be guided resources and quiet space in which to think about our own patterns of prayer and service within the routines of daily life. Led by the Revd Bridget Macaulay. 10.00 am – 4.00 pm. Cost: £15 to include a simple lunch. Please let us know if you want to come.

Friday 25 January – Sunday 27 January: Individually Guided Retreat.
Led by an ecumenical team of prayer guides.

Saturday 16 February: Quiet Day: ‘Boundless and Bare’.
A quiet day reflecting on the desert experience in Lent using literature and poetry. Led by Fr Mark Skelton. 10.00 am – 4.00 pm. Cost £10 includes refreshments – please bring your own lunch.

Regular events at Epiphany House

Morning Prayer is said in the Chapel at 10am Monday to Friday and at 9.30am on Saturday.

Monday: Meditation Groups meet on 1st Monday of the month 2.30 – 4pm.

Tuesday:
12 noon – Eucharist
5.15-5.45pm – Silent Prayer – 1st Tuesday of every month
7.30pm – 9pm – Circle Dancing on the first Tuesday of the month.

Wednesday – Centring Prayer Group – 5.30-6pm

Quiet Space: we warmly welcome individuals seeking Quiet Space for prayer, rest, reflection or study. We have a number of small rooms available as well as use of the beautiful grounds and can offer refreshments and food. Overnight accommodation with breakfast is available as well as facilities for self- catering.
