Equipping the local church to be a living act of witness
All those involved in local church leadership in the Central & South West region – this three-day event is just for you.
We are aiming to equip the local church to be the living, breathing act of witness it needs to be in today’s society, and hope that this conference will help you grow in leadership or aspiration to leadership in your church.
Among our keynote speakers is Robby Dawkins, who is part of the Vineyard movement and has been called by God to help equip and release the church in the power and ministry of the Holy Spirit. He is one of the most sought after speakers in the Vineyard movement at the moment.
Guy Chevreau, who was there at the beginning of the Father’s blessing in Toronto 18 years ago, is an internationally respected author, teacher and reflector.
Alongside them, there will be friends from other streams within the UK as well as the New Wine Leadership Team.
As leaders we’re called to be pioneers, people on the edge who are trying to make a difference. We have one thing in common: we want to grow and be equipped for that task. Come and get soul transformation and fuel for the journey as we reignite vision for Kingdom mission.
Speaker Commendations
‘Robby equips the Church to be outwardly focussed in the Spirit. He lifted the ceiling in terms of what the people in our churches now expect God to do through them. If you are a church leader and interested in equipping your people to expect more of the Holy Spirit, I can wholeheartedly commend his ministry to you.’ Rich Nathan, Senior Pastor of Vineyard Columbus, Ohio
‘Guy will bring us challenging, encouraging and faith-building news of God at work.’ John Coles, Director, New Wine.

Family time is collection of resources providing tools, practical advice and support to parents of children and teenagers. The aim is to empower parents to move from simply surviving family life to being proactive in leading families that are not only strong in themselves but also seek to make a difference in the communities in which they live. Family Time is based on Christian principles, and aims to equip and envision every parent, whether Christian or not, to deal with the many issues they come up against in family life.
The Family Time courses present churches with a unique opportunity to build bridges into local communities and meet parents at their point of need. They’re ideal for use in your local church or school, or anywhere else where you have a community of parents. A typical evening begins with a talk, followed by refreshments and then discussion groups. All the course material is free to download, but you are encouraged to take some time to plan each session in advance, incorporating your own examples and experiences.
Pioneered by Mark and Lindsay Melluish, Family Time was first launched as a book in 1999. This was republished Family Time: Parenting Children in 2007, and the 6-week course was released on DVD in November 2009. Family Time: Parenting Teenagers is also a six-session course available as a book as well as on DVD. It was developed by Paul and Christine Perkin and provides an opportunity for parents to connect with other parents facing similar issues through the teenage years.
On the New Wine website you can find out more about running Family Time courses, download free resources and buythe book, DVDs and course handbooks. This video gives a taster of the Parenting Teenagers course.
A few miles from my house there’s a convenience store that went through a make-over. However, the employees may have missed the make-over memo. The kid behind the counter wore a new uniform…but he also wore the same sullen look I’d seen before. It made me think about how we try to put new wine into old wineskins. Jesus says we’re bound to fail because “…the wine will burst the skins and both…will be ruined…” But don’t we [do the same] when it comes to our Christian walk? The new wine of honesty-at-work, poured into the old wineskin of cutting corners. The new wine of unconditional love, poured into the old wineskin of hatred for the family two doors down. The new wine of worship, poured into the old wineskinof idolising money, power, music or the latest video game. The new wine of Bible study, poured into the old wineskin of ‘ready-meal’ busyness. The new wine of humility, poured into the old wineskin of conceit. The new wine of forgiveness, poured into the old wineskin of bitterness. The new wine of others first, poured into the old wineskin of selfish ambition. The new wine of joy, poured into the old wineskin of jealousy and factions. The new wine of peace, poured into the old wineskin of discord.
