HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT ABOUT BECOMING A WORKPLACE CHAPLAIN?

Ministry to people in their place of work has a long history in the church. Since the Second World War clergy and lay people from different denominations have visited people in their place of work exercising a pastoral and prophetic ministry. Chaplains have pursued issues raised within the workplace and sought to help the Church understand the realities within the world of work.

Workplace chaplains work in a variety of ways linking faith, worship and daily life, by regularly visiting people in their workplace. There is often an opportunity to encourage people to deepen their understanding of the relationship between the Christian faith and the economic order. In the contemporary world the church is concerned not just with individuals but with issues that shape our daily lives.

There are already lay and ordained chaplains from different denominations in workplaces all over Cornwall.
