Trumpet Call: World Prayer Centre Day of Prayer, Birmingham, 15 June 2013

Trumpet Call 2013Saturday 15 June 2013 at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham from 11:00am – 5:00pm (doors at 9:30am).

This invitation is a call to Christians around the British Isles and Ireland to a day to pray for our nations.

As we make this call, along with many others, we sense an urgency about the importance of this day. Our nations are in increasing turmoil as we observe the consequences of ungodly decisions made both in the past and by our National leaders today. These decisions not only affect us, but will also affect generations to come. We believe that as we pray, our prayers will make a difference and will change circumstances and situations.

The venue is The International Convention Centre, in Birmingham. The day will be centred around Jeremiah 1:10 with prayer, testimony, thanksgiving, worship and Word. We will look at roots causing brokenness, distress, danger and then we will pray for the release of God’s Kingdom in villages, towns and cities across the nations.

There are many signs that God is blessing and wants to bless, but there is a battle being waged for the very soul of the nations. This invitation is to stand in humility and unity that together, in our day, we will see His kingdom come and His will done.

The tickets are £10.00 each and to help us cover the cost of postage, packing and transaction charges, we have had to include a £1.00 additional charge.

Book your tickets online or call the WPC Ticket Hotline – 0121 633 7393.

Riding The Wave: World Prayer Centre conference, 11-13 March 2013, Derbyshire

Riding the WaveMany people have spoken prophetically of a new wave of prayer that began to form in 2012 – globally with the extra-ordinary World Prayer Assembly held in Indonesia in May and nationally with the unique response to the summer events of the Queen’s Jubilee, Torch Relay, London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics and the National Day of Prayer at Wembley Stadium.

At the 2013 World Prayer Centre Conference our prayer is that those who come will be better equipped to ride the wave, so that we are ready to see God’s will done and His Kingdom come in our nation and across the globe.

We will tell the story and share some of the testimonies of answered prayer from 2012 but more importantly we want to share some of the specific ways that God has been teaching us that ‘there must be more’ for the movement of prayer as we move into 2013. We will also update you on theWorld Prayer Centre journey – we so value your prayer and support as we seek to follow God, our Shepherd.

We really look forward to welcoming new friends met during 2012 and those who have journeyed with WPC over many years at Swanwick as we ask God to help us Ride the Wave together.

Dates: Monday 11 – Wednesday 13 March 2013

Venue: The Hayes, Swanwick, Derbyshire, DE55 1AU

Tickets: Day tickets from £47, residential from £126 per person.

Call to Prayer from the World Prayer Centre

The 70 day cascade of prayer and praise will come to an end with the prayer relay finish in East London on the evening of 26th July and the Praise Bus will complete its journey on 27th July.

We want to invite everyone everywhere to pray 8.12am on 27th July – please forward this invitation on.

At 8.12am on 27th July 2012 the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games are calling for bells to be rung across our nations: any bell, anyone, anywhere: www.allthebells.com

We feel this is a very significant moment and want to invite everyone to pray wherever they are on that day! We long to see a spiritual turning in our nation.

The Bells Of Change

It is 70 years ago to the day when Winston Churchill called for the bells to be rung after the first battle of El Alamein ended on 27th July 1942 with a stalemate. The bells marked a turning point. After the second battle of El Alamein which ended on 3rd November 1942 there was victory. He recalled ‘before El Alamein we never had a victory, after El Alamein we never had a defeat’.

  • Bells were rung on 3 June at the Jubilee Pageant carried on the bell barge and were answered by church bells along the Thames.
  • Bells will ring on 27th July 2012 at 08.12am
  • A 27 ton bell will ring at 9pm on 27 July. It is twice the size of Big Ben and the largest tuned bell in Europe and will ring in the Olympic Stadium to start London 2012. It will carry the quote from The Tempest ‘Do not be afeard; the isle is full of noises ‘.

A number of people have been carrying words about the significance of bells:

World Prayer Centre has put together some scriptures and prayers for you to use; but feel free to pray how the Lord leads on that morning. Revised version: Revised Call to Prayer 27 July 8.12am WPC 27_07_12 (pdf).

Please invite all you know!
