Top 10 Bands We’re Looking Forward to at Creation Fest 2016
With 10 days to go until Creation Fest 2016 these are the bands that our resident music reviewer is looking forward to across the Creation Fest week. With over 75 bands performing this is barely scratching the surface of all the great talent appearing. Bearing in mind that Creation Fest is free to attend this is a great line-up being brought into the County. You can check out the full provisional programme for the week by clicking here.
Number 10 - Labesh
A local worship band from the Labesh event – a bi-monthly gathering hosted by New Creation Church, Redruth and Elim Camborne. This band is led by Kristian Ponsford and Daniel Murphy, they will be fresh from leading sessions at New Wine. The word “Labesh” means to put on, wear, clothed or be clothed and is used in the Bible to refer to the Spirit of God wearing Gideon like a coat.

Number 9 - Cathy Burton
Cathy Burton is an amazing worship leader originally from Devon. Cathy’s vocals have been included on many worship albums as well as regularly appearing at Spring Harvest and other big Christian events. Cathy has also released five solo projects, the most recent being Searchlight released in 2014. Cathy has also had a number of EDM hits as well.
Cathy also supports the work of Mission Aviation Fellowship who will be at Creation Fest during the week.

Number 8 - Josh Curnow
Josh Curnow is from North Cornwall and recently got through to the Semi-Final stage of ITV show Britain’s Got Talent. He describes himself as Gravel voiced country, pop, rock singer song writer from North Cornwall.

Number 7 - Sounds Of Salvation
With Sounds of Salvation calling it a day at the end of 2016 after 10 years of ska infused worship, this is one of your last chances to catch the UK’s only Christian Ska Band.
Now operating as a tight six-piece they remain the UK’s only Christian ska band. High-octane, madcap fun, explosive ska worship!
Performing in the Showcase Cafe at 6pm on Saturday.
Number 6 - Philippa Hanna
Philippa Hanna is leaving the UK for a season to develop her career in the U.S.A., so this is one of the last chances to catch one of the UK’s top Christian Singer Songwriters before she leaves. With her new album Speed of Light released earlier this year and coming off the back of three big tours supporting Leona Lewis, Anastacia and also the European leg of the Little Mix tour.

Number 5 - Faith Child
Faith Child is one of the leading lights of Urban Christian music in the UK. With over 10 years experience in the industry and plenty of accolades to his name including last year winning a MOBO Award for Best Gospel Act.

Number 4 - Sarah Teibo
Sarah Teibo is a newcomer to the UK Gospel scene, bringing a fresh voice and outlook to her audience. With her debut album Walk With Me wowing audiences across the UK, this is your chance to see an artist taking the London scene by storm!

Number 3 - Triple O
He brought down the house recently at the GIG in a field, so you can expect a repeat performance from this seasoned performer. MOBO award winner, MP3 Awards winner & two time GMA nominee Triple O is a UK Christian act whose work and music speaks volumes to the masses – Starting his career back in 2005, hailing from the east side of London, Triple O has gone on to be one of the forerunners within the UK’s urban gospel scene.

Number 2 - LZ7
LZ7 are on a quest to bring their style of music that bypasses the intellect and speaks straight to the soul. With their infectious melodies, huge drops and back to back anthems the boys know how to look after a crowd and their boyish vulnerability allows them to share their stories behind the music allowing the listener in on their journey. Their new album “Home” has recently been released so listen out for some new tracks.

Number 1 - Leeland
Since their stunning 2006 breakthrough debut album Sound of Melodies, progressive worship band LEELAND have become one of the most important voices in a new generation of worship music. Known for a passion-filled live experience, the band’s fifth release “Christ Be All Around Me LIVE” finally, literally captures that. “We’ve always wanted to do a live record, and we’ve finally reached the point where it makes sense.” says Jack Mooring, keyboardist and brother to Leeland Mooring the lead singer. Their new album Invisible was released recently.
